Types of submissions

The journal accepts the following types of submissions:

 Research article - Reports original and previously unpublished research or a development of a theory or technique that significantly extends knowledge within the journal’s scope. Research articles must be accompanied by an abstract in English. Research articles are refereed and may vary in length from 5,000 to a maximum of 7,500 words, including the abstract, all text, references, tables, and illustrations (see manuscript template) (maximum of 5 tables and/or figures).

 Review Article - Provides a critical synthesis of information on an important topic. Review article must be accompanied by an abstract. Review essays are limited to 5,000 words, including the abstract, all text, references, tables, and illustrations (maximum of 5 tables and/or figures).

 Note/Short Report - A short article that offers a particular perspective on a problem or issues. 

General

Manuscripts submitted to the journal must be original work that has not been published or under consideration for publication elsewhere. The manuscript must be written in good English and should be no more than 10-15 pages in length inclusive of tables, figures and illustrations. All submissions will be peer reviewed. The abstract and conclusions section must also highlight what is new and/or novel in the paper.

PLAGIARISM

Plagiarism is not acceptable in paperASIA submissions. All the submitted manuscripts are checked for plagiarism before starting the review process. The editors will run a plagiarism check using Turnitin for the submitted manuscripts before sending them to reviewers. We do not process any plagiarised content. If a manuscript has over 20% plagiarism based on the results of the Turnitin check, we will send the manuscript back to the author to be revised the plagiarised contents.

Manuscript Structure

The Title Should be a brief phrase describing the contents of the paper. The Abstract should be informative and completely self-explanatory, briefly present the topic, state the scope of the experiments, indicate significant data, and point out major findings and conclusions. The Keywords should be between 3 to 6. The Introduction should provide a clear statement of the problem, the relevant literature on the subject. Materials and Methods should be complete enough to allow experiments to be reproduced. Results should be presented with clarity and precision. The Discussion should interpret the findings in view of the results obtained in this and in past studies on this topic. State the Conclusions in a few sentences at the end of the Discussion. The Acknowledgments of people, grants, funds, etc., and should be brief. 

 Figures and Table

Figures should be high quality (1,200 dpi for line art, 600 dpi for grayscale and 300 dpi for colour, at the correct size). Figures should be supplied in one of our preferred file formats: EPS, PS, JPEG, TIFF, or Microsoft Word (DOC or DOCX) files are acceptable for figures that have been drawn in Word. Obtain permission and include the acknowledgement required by the copyright holder if a figure is being reproduced from another source. Tables should present new information rather than duplicating what is in the text. Readers should be able to interpret the table without reference to the text. Please supply editable files.  Peer review Process

PaperAsia uses double-blind peer review process. After the editor has approved a manuscript for the review process, it will be sent out to reviewer. The role of reviewer is to provide feedback on the article and the research, suggest improvements and make recommendations to the editor about whether to accept, reject or request changes to the article prior to a second evaluation. Decisions regarding the publication of a manuscript will be based on the Board's recommendations. Manuscripts submitted by members of the journal's Editorial Board are subjected to the same review procedure.

 Publication Frequency

This journal publishes six issues a year (bimonthly): February, April, June, August, October and December.

 Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. LICENCE: Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0)

 ARTICLE PUBLICATION CHARGES (APC)

A fee of USD480 (International Corresponding Author) or MYR2000 (Malaysian Corresponding Author) will be imposed as publication chargers for each accepted manuscript. The publication fees cover the cost of editing, file management, publishing and other editorial expenses. There is no charge for article submission.
